On Windows Server 2016 servers, KB5005573 randomly causes printing error 0x0000011b on computers.
As of 9/17/2021, the workaround is to uninstall this update from the print servers. In the case of using WSUS, the update should also be disapproved.
Edit 1: Another workaround will be to change the value of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Print \ RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled
registry key to the value 0
(REG_DWORD) . The registry key must be applied on print servers and client computers.
Edit 2 (09/21/2021): In order not to have to uninstall the updates, the best solution is to correctly configure the printing parameters in a secure way: PrintNightmare: secure configuration of printing. Before putting this configuration into production, you should test it in your environment.
