Windows 2016 : Troubleshoot RDS Gateway Connection Issues – April 2019

Symptom

  • You are using an RDS gateway on a Windows 2016 server
  • The connection to the RDS gateway randomly fails depending on the extension with the RDC client
  • The update kb4493470 is installed on the server.

Solutions

Solution 1

On the server uninstall the bet kb4493470.

Solution 2

Install the update kb4493473 which solves the problem.

To install it I had to go find it on the site catalog update from Microsoft.
