Welcome to my space dedicated to sharing IT knowledge. I am Romain Drouche, an IT infrastructure expert with over 15 years’ hands-on experience. Currently Systems and Networks Project Manager and Information Systems Security (ISS) Lead, I apply my expertise to ensure the reliability and security of technological environments.

As someone with a passion for the Microsoft ecosystem, I have built my career around mastering on-premises solutions. As part of my commitment to continuous professional development, I have obtained several official certifications that guarantee the quality of the procedures I share.

The history of the project: From RDR-IT to rdr-it.com

What began as nothing more than a personal knowledge base has, over the years, become a resource for the French-speaking IT community:

  • 2018: Launch of RDR-IT. Originally created as revision notes for my certifications and internal procedures, my tutorials are now published online to help system administrators and technicians.
  • 2019: I branched out into video with my YouTube channel, to provide visual guidance for complex set-ups.
  • 2020: Launch of the Academy, a platform organised into structured learning pathways designed to explore technological concepts in greater depth.
  • 2025: A new brand identity with a new logo

My view on technical knowledge sharing

My tutorials are not simply theoretical guides. They are the result of real-world experience gained in the workplace. As an Information Security Officer, I systematically incorporate a ‘security’ aspect into my guides: it is not enough for a solution to work; it must also be secure.

Beyond the screen

Because balance is essential for an IT expert, I find my inspiration offline. I’m passionate about photography and scuba diving; these pursuits share the same rigour and attention to detail as IT. I’m also a keen sports fan and, above all, a doting dad who loves spending time with my family.
